Titanic went down....along with everyone else and me??

I'm on the titanic enjoying nice hot cup of tea when all the sudden we hear a loud, bang, everyone looks to see what happened, we get word that we have hit a iceberg...not to worry about it we are "safe" but believe me I was worried because after a while when the ship started to sink they put us the higher class women and men on lifeboats, starting with woman and children. We sat out in the water watching people jump off the boat and people holding their loved ones while the deadly cold water hit them. I blame Captain E. C. Smith for the whole thing he should have paid attention a lot more then all those people would be alive. I will never be able to forgive him for those horrid moments on pain and loss.

The cost of life

I think that the cost of life is left to the person responsible for everyone. On the ship Titanic the captain is responsible for all the lives of those people who died because of the iceberg hitting the huge "unsinkable" ship or like in the call of the wild, Spitz is responsible for buck because its his sled dog so he has to watch out for him and take care of him. If you had to be responsible for peoples lives would you do the best for them?? that is the question.

Should People Be Forgiven?

Should she be forgiven? A young woman aborts her baby to avoid the social stigma of being an unwed mother. I don't and do think she should be forgiven. She should be because in some religions that is against their believings, but she shouldn't be forgiven because it's just like murder and murder is wrong. An example of this is a movie called "For Color Girls" by Tyler Perry. In this movie a young woman finds out she is pregnant and wants to terminate the pregnancy because her mom is really religious and she isn't married. This movie relates to the example I got from the paper.

Frankenstein: create life or no??

If given the power to create life as Frankenstein did, I would create the best monster ever, way better than Frankenstein's monster. There are several reasons I would do this so I will tell you them.
The first reason I would create the worlds best scariest monster, better than Frankenstein's monster of course, is to have a better monster than him and to become known as the life maker. I think it would be so cool to create life or even just create a monster would be the best thing ever.
The second reason would be getting to show off what I have created out of nothing and made a living creature, that can walk and talk and have feelings. I would make my monster very scary and use it to gaurd my house from "bad" people.
This is my reasoning for wanting to create life such as Frankenstein did but even better than he did with his monster.

2012 Theme Word

I chose the word happiness because I want happiness in everything I do and live through. This year will be my junior year in high school and all I want after I graduate is happiness, I want to graduate from high school and go to college for nursing. I want happiness in my future with two kids and a great husband who will help me create happiness in our long life together,  I want to bring so much happiness in my children's life. Happiness is the most wonderful thing in this world, it helps you through troubles and good times, everyone should have happiness in their lives no matter the situation they are in.


Therefore that is my reasoning of choosing the word happiness as my theme word of 2012, because it's important to live in happiness with the people you love. Happiness is the main key to a great and wonderful long life and the ones we love can make it even better to live.

The effects of the setting of Winter on me, makes me think of cold weather, gettting sick, clear white snow falling on the land and trees making every thing look so beautiful and fake, the warmth of heat and hot coco, and the coldness of snow hitting my face when im outside but then it makes me think of sadness and loneliness because some people are usually alone during this important time of year the time when everyone should be together and joyful, spending time with their loved ones and friends.

Evidence-Concrete Detail

• Getting your driver's license shouldn't be judged on your school grades it should be judged on how mature you are with your choices and ways of doing things.
• Commentary 1- Turning 16 is a big thing for alot of people because it means getting your driver's license and getting to drive any where you want without having to have your mom or dad take you there.
• Many public high schools, school districts, and even states across the nation have implemented rules that require students to maintain a specific grade point average in order to legally obtain and carry a driver's license, even the very immature people who have good grades but I don't think it should be that way I think you should have to pass a certain maturity test to get your driver's license.
• Grades have nothing to do with focusing on the road i'm pretty sure that you dont have to do math, english, science, or social studies to know how to turn on a car and drive down the road in your own lane, not hiting another car or wreaking.
• Most people i've talked to have either said "Grades are completly a stupid thing to go by when driving because the most immature or unfocused person could be behind the wheel and it makes me feel so unsafe knowing that." or "I'm a very mature person and everyone knows that but i'm not able to get my license because i'm not smart enough to get my grades to a certain point and maintain it."
• Some states do not have legislation linking driving privileges with students' academic performance, some schools have taken matters into their own hands. For example- These public schools have created guidelines that impact the driving privileges students have in coming and leaving campus. At Floyd Central High School, they prohibit students from driving to and from school if they fail to meet the FCHS attendance standards. Specifically, if a student acquires 10 absences, tardies, or early departures, then he or she may be subject to driving privilege restrictions, which I think we at Batesville High School should do too.

• Some other people say "Getting your driver's license shouldn't be judge on grades it should be judged on your maturity and they way you concentrate while driving."

My Rebuttal/I Say:

• Although I agree with grades being used to a point, I still think that it should be judge on maturity.

My paragraph
Grades should matter when getting your driver's license at the age of 16. That privelage shouldn't be left up to the school, getting you're driver's license should be judged by the police on your maturity, on how you act behind the wheel. When I ask people about grades being used to judge getting your license they say getting you're driver's license shouldn't matter what your grades are because your grades aren't going to tell how your going to act behind the wheel. Another reason grades shouldn't matter is even though you have good grades it doesn't mean your mature it just means you are good at what they are teaching you. Thus, me and others agree that grades shouldn't matter against the others opinion.
